I'm with Jim on this one. When I'm operating, my concentration is on the
rig. I don't want or need another distraction; having to worry about
whether or not the audio file is working correctly, and recording everything
to the satisfaction of unknown parties, is one worry I don't need.

I disagree that an audio file should be required.

What is your rationale, Jim?

I've got enough to be thinking about when operating a contest, without
having to be concerned that the audio might not being properly recorded.
If it does get recorded that's fine, it may help me. If not, I don't want
to
discover after a long weekend that my entry is for naught.
