John,
Serial numbers starting with a 2 or 3 have the leaking capacitors problem,
see http://zievid.com/W6OT/TS-850/CarrierBoardCaps.htm Starting with a
serial number 5 has no problems (yet) and the DDS chips are of a newer type.
