The K2 can be built for various SSB bandwidths. You can pretty much
taylor the audio to how you like it to sound.
My problem with it is that the Heil Pro Headset with the HC-4 element
cannot drive it to full power. I also have problems with RF in the
audio when running the Heil Pro headset. My solution is to use an old
Yaesu hand mic for those second radio contacts. Not optimal, but no RF
on the audio and I get excellent audio reports.
It is an excellent CW contesting radio. It does not have dual receive
so it may be lacking for some DXers. I had fun building it.
