Take it from one who also hands out that WAU multiplier: some
WIQP counties have similar names, and the abbreviations, when
used, can cause some confusion on CW. Please take a look at the
Multiplier List at http://www.warac.org/wqp/counties.htm.
Examples:
GRE = Green
GRL = Green Lake
MAR = Marathon
MRN = Marinette
MRQ = Marquette
WSB = Washburn
WAS = Washington
WAU = Waukesha
WAP = Waupaca
WSR = Waushara
Keep in mind too that the exchange sent by a Wisconsin station is
simply the county name or abbreviation: for example, N9XX sends
"WAU". Non-Wisconsin stations send state or province or country.
Signal reports are not required, but they are often exchanged
nonetheless.

For WIQP software, visit www.n3fjp.com I use Scott's software
for all
contests. It is pretty good stuff.
If you need the ever elusive Waukesha county, look for me in the
WIQP...
