Bob, I think you'll have a better chance competing against a VY2 in the ARRL SSB DX during the sunspot maximum. In the mean time, plan on buliding a bigger station. This is another way to catch up. If you're not happy with this contest, how about coming up with a new one? Like the tesla Cup per K3BU.
