[CQ-Contest] radio prices

I'd recently (Dec) bought a 706 at $729, but I understand that the price is now 
at or near $900.  There seem to have been some other significant price 
increases recently.

deal of the year..  my co-worker just picked up a used 746PRO for around 
US$330.  No kidding..  huge variations.

I really like this 706, btw, but my intention was to have it around as a #2 
radio.
