Three weeks to go before IARU (10 - 11 July) and teams are beginning to sign
up for the WRTC-Style Team Challenge. Simply put, two-operator teams
compete in the IARU M/S category using low-power, a tribander, and a single
wire antenna - just like the WRTC teams do.

Last year's team challenge was a lot of fun, with entries from three
continents. If you are looking for a new way to have fun during this
24-hour summer DX contest, join up with a friend and climb aboard! You also
get to pick a neat name for the team - 5B4AFM and 5B4WN are again the Vraka
Men. (I was told what "Vraka" means at Dayton - you can find out for
yourself here - www.4crete.gr/creteguide/en_traditional.htm - what DOES one
wear under a vraka?)
Hey - World-Wide Young Contesters - how about some WWYC teams again this
year? Contest clubs - this is a great way to encourage activity and the
scores will count towards your club totals.
Send me an email - n0ax@arrl.net - and let me know who your team operators
will be, the call you'll be using in the contest, and, of course, the
excellent team name you have selected! The Web site will be updated every
few days.
Good luck to everyone in the IARU - with or without your vraka on!
