Hello,
Not so long ago we had the SP DX Contest. I am a member of the Contest
Committee. We have received many logs so far and we noticed some
problems.
First of all a lot of files do not include all required information.
We noticed that many contesters use "TR Log". There is also a number of
files generated by "Lux-Log" or "tlf". Unfortunately files generated
by "Lux-Log", "TR Log POST" or "tlf" do not contain all required
information: there is no sent serial number in the files generated by
the software mentioned above.
The Contest Committee will do everything possible work to classify all
logs. But please: HAVE A LOOK AT YOUR LOG FILE BEFORE SENDING IT TO
THE COMMITTEE and MAKE SURE IT CONTAINS ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION AND
CONTEST EXCHANGE (sent and received).
The other problem is with the categories. Please read the new contest
rules and remember that single-band categories are only CW or only
PHONE. There are not single-band MIXED categories in the SP DX Contest
now. Also Single-band categoris have no LP (Low Power) or HP (High
Power) sections. The new category SOTB MIXED (Single Operator Three
Band) is only MIXED (there are no SOTB CW or SOTB PHONE sections). The
same refers to SOAB MIXED QRP - there are no CW or SSB sections and
QRP category is an ALL BAND category only.
Thanks to all participants of the SP DX Contest 2004. In case of any
problems please contact the Contest Committee
(contest_questions@spdxc.org.pl).
