Just goes to show, a poor decision will propagate!
Thank goodness no one of consequence has done it
in new amplifier for at least 25 years.
Yeah, it works. But.
I *really* want my RF path cables to all have a
good mechanical connection rather than depending
on friction, and I want a connector that doesn't
get looser and less reliable very time I unplug
and plug it in.
