If it was me, I would replace the motherboard in your present machine with
an AMD Athlon 1700+ or better, and run Win98SE as my operating system. It
has genuine DOS, and, IMO, is pretty stable. I run TR log in a DOS window
all the time with no CW problems. If you need more PCI serial ports than
your motherboard comes with, get a PCI Bytemark serial board, and you're set.
