[CQ-Contest] Crowne Plaza Prices

When I told my suspicious former-meeting-planner spouse that I'd gotten a 
room at the Crowne Plaza off the waiting, her immediate response was, "Of 
course, they held a block of rooms till the end because they knew they 
could sell them then at rack rate."

So now I'm curious.  They quoted me a price last week of $149 plus tax for 
a single with king-sized bed.  What did other people pay for a comparable 
room back in June, in the first wave of reservations?
