This is without a doubt the most ridiculous post I have seen to date on
this reflector. To embrace these concepts is to embrace insanity!

I suggest you go back to the archives and read some of the
responsible postings on this thread. Read the postings from the decision
makers. Read the posts from responsible contesters. .

Against "us?" Who is "us?"

Mr. Johnson, who, pray tell, is "us?"

As far as "costing." I submit that you should place a "cost" on losing the
ham bands to Bill Gates before embarking on this behavior. As contesting
grows, there is no way QST can print it all. A good contest gets what,
maybe 1000 logs? What do you expect them to do when the count gets to
10,000? I'm sorry Mr. Johnson but I am stuck here on planet earth. Perhaps
you can inform me of the colorful ways you view reality. I don't see the
pink and purple colors from here. Reality bites my friend...

And you're still thinking like that Novice. You became a ham for reasons
unique to you. You joined the ARRL presumably for self serving reasons--to
read QST. The rest of us have grown up since 1971 and come to realize that
the ARRL is the only thing that stands between our radios and the massive
commercial interests that would love to gobble up the ham bands.

Without the ARRL in the US, your radio will be dumpster material
in about 5 years because you won't be able to use it--the spectrum will
belong to somebody else.

Mr. Johnson, have a great day.
