Harry Lewis, W7JWJ, had the secret knowledge to get the IC-211 to turn on.
Since a couple of you also had questions about this - maybe this will be
helpful to several. It will also get into the archives and can be found by
search engines.
Thanks, Harry!

At the rear of the IC 211 is a Molex 4 pin DC power socket.
The pin closest to the tapered end of the socket is pin 1.
The pin near the blunt end is pin 4.
For A.C. operation jumper pin 1 and 2 together.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Socket connections:
1. 13.8 VDC
2. 13.8 VDC output from the AC power supply
3. 6 - 12 VDC input for the memory circuit
4. Ground
-------------------------------------------------------------------
For DC operation
4. Ground
3. Plus 12.6 VDC
Note a Silicon protective diode is used externally
from pin 3 to the 13.8 VDC power source.
