The Mad River Radio Club announces 2000 Michigan QSO Party (MQP) this
coming Saturday, April 15, 2000 from 1600Z until 0400Z on April 16. Full
rules are available at http://www.qsl.net/mrrc/mqp.html. There have been
some minor changes to the rules since 1999, however please note that the
rules published in the April 2000 QST and WorldRadio are incorrect.
Also available on the MRRC Web site is a downloadable information packet
with all the forms necessary to operate the MQP in MS-Word format. Also
available is free logging software for MQP.
Five MRRC mobiles will take to the roads to activate all 83 Michigan
counties during the twelve hour MQP period. The routes of these mobiles
will be announced later this week.
MQP 2000 offers an expanded awards program over 1999, with nine plaques
(including two for out-of-state entries) as well as certificates for the
top ten entries in each category (QRP, low power, high power) both
in-Michigan and out-of-state.
For more information, including the results of the 1999 Michigan QSO Party,
see the MRRC web site at http://www.qsl.net/mrrc/mqp.html.

I'll be in the NYC Metro area from April 20-25. I already have a pretty
full schedule, but I should be able to find time to visit a few people.
Anyone going to be around? Plans are to stay in Bronxville, but I will
mostly be running around in Westchester County and NNJ.
