How about trying NOT to fix what is NOT REALLY BROKEN.
It seems the issue is the inconsistency of power abbreviations that are
given in the exchange.
ARRL should simply MANDATE certain abbreviations.... ie, 1K or KW for
1000W, or even 1000, if that is what is needed to make it consistent for
the logchecking software. The basic exchange format of power level is a
very sound one, and has served us all very well over the years.
