Hi:
I've carried my 850 on the plane several times.
What I did is bought some bubble wrap, the thin stuff. I then wrapped it around
the rig, once around the width and once around the length.
I left a hole in the bubble wrap where the handle is so I could carry it. It
fit
under the seat nicely. If your careful when you remove the wrap you can use it
again on the return trip.
