IN reference to the comment about the "rubber bands on appropriate body
parts"----
Jeez I thought it was common knowledge that FRCers use an empty half
gallon milk jug, an appropriate length of 1 1/2 inch diameter hose and a
couple of hose clamps to secure the frequency from would be intruders upon
said FRCers run freq. While ur off to the potty , we steal ur freq and run a
hundred Q's. :) Sometimes the difference in what seperates the men from the
boys is ingenuity and a high pain threshold. Those hose clamps smart a bit.
P.S. I assume some of you will think I'm joking.....think about it
P.S.S. The multi Op photos are a riot

About half of QSO's were on low power because I thought B was for 150 or
less (been a long time). Once I realized it was HIGH power, I flipped on
the amp. I see in this contest you might as well run <150 watts. It works
just as good!

I must say I committed the ulitmate mistake with the last posting. Since
I was in such a hurry to get it out, I left a very important score off.
MINE!!!
Please remember when sending me email about correcting anything that
you include your call. I have no way of knowing who you are. Also if
you send in your score and do not see it within a short time, just wait.
I am waiting till I have quiet a few scores before I send out a posting.
This should help to cut down on bandwidth.
Anyone who sends me a score with no class on it will be put into the B
class. Feel free to email me and I will correct it.

I have an internal packet board 88 by AEA and cant get TR or CT to work with it.
Anyone use an internal board and successfully use logging software?
Had N0AX comeover and try...so its not a function of QCAO-ness of pilot.
tnx

Comments:
Re: new contesters?
N7UJJ was the only operator under 18 years old. We operated from our school.
The principal thought we were nuts to spend 30+ at school on a weekend, but
he wished us well.
We claim to be the Carl Hayden Community High School and College,
thus we feel we should be listed with other colleges in the Collegiate SS
Championship.
It was great watching the timid kids become agressive pileup handlers with
a few hours experience. Special thanks to all who gave encouraging words to
the kids. These kids had a very positive experience and want to know when
we will do another club contest. They will be primed for the School Roundup
and Field Day. Their teacher needs a good night's sleep.
Highlights: Two kids who went from the logging position to the mike position
for the first time. The technician kids ASKED for the C.W. tapes; I think
a few more General-Advanced are in the pipeline.
Lowlights: The "sound effect QRMers" on 20 meters. Its difficult to
explain this behavior to the kids. But then again, it shows that amateur
radio behavior is an acquired skill.
We kept checking 10 meters, but we never heard ANY station on.
