Hi Tree: I know that KE2VB is still planning on erecting a C4-XL on top
of the hill on St.Croix for Phone SS (and I'll be there the next week
for CQWW-CW). Apparently St.Croix didn't get nearly the winds that
St.Thomas did. A St.Croix ham eyeballed the QTH on top of the hill with
binoculars and said the villa still has a roof and no broken glass that
he could see. Read in the paper that some cruise ships are changing
one of their stops from St.Thomas to St.Croix, so that tells me the
island is at least still functional to some extent. Keeping our fingers
crossed.
Dunno about CW contest, but if some hams would like to finance me to
go to St.Croix for SS CW so they can get their clean sweep, I'd be
happy to oblige! (might even make a SKED with them, hee hee).

All right, everyone, repeat after me.
Unique QSOs are not removed from CQWW logs.
Unique QSOs are not removed from CQWW logs.
UNIQUE QSOs ARE NOT REMOVED FROM CQWW LOGS.
Please, please, please. Lets nip this false rumor in the bud right now.
Busted QSOs are removed from CQWW logs. QSOs that are verifiably
BAD. Unique-ness is not, by itself, grounds for such action.
So let's all stop repeating this WRONG information. Thank you.

Subject: Band Allocations
Message-ID: <199509221745.NAA13144@larry.infi.net>
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a book or chart of band
allocations of the major countries of the world. I mean something like the
ones that manufactures give out at hamfests for the US. I know that VKs can
only work a certain portion of 75, JA's can only work portions of bands and
such. If anyone has this info or where I can get it I would appreciate it. I
believe that to a new contester this would be very helpful. Thanks for any
help in advance.

Do not throw out the uniques. Many times if I have passed by the rig,
peeked at the packet screen and seen a call I know. I'll give them a call,
especially if they are a good manager, etc. An example was the WAE (I
think) contest recently where YT1AD was spotted. I worked him just to
thank him for the 3V8BB card he sent back so fast. He was the only station
i worked in that contest. I will not show up in any other log in that
contest. Should my QSO be thrown out? I think not.
