Please pass the word on the all-band sprint next week; rules were also in
June QST. We have been running these in the upper midwest this past winter
with great success!
VHF/UHF ALL-BAND SPRINT
The Northern Lights Radio Society presents the first VHF/UHF All-Band Sprint.
Work as many stations as possible on our VHF/UHF/Microwave bands (50 MHz &
up) during the contest period. Contacts can be made on SSB/CW/FM (no
repeater or satellite QSOs). The Sprint will be Wednesday evening July 19,
1995. The suggested operating period is 7-10pm local time; stations may
shift their operating period one hour earlier or later for time zone or
propagation considerations.
Contest classes: Single Operator, multi-operator, and rover. A rover
is one or two people operating from two or more grids during the contest
period; no grid circling allowed.
Exchange grid square locations. Scoring for fixed stations is the same as in
the June VHF QSO Party. Rovers: Multiply QSO points from all grids by the
total number of multipliers worked from all grids.
Send logs and summary sheet (showing contacts and multipliers by band) within
ONE week (July 26) to: Northern Lights Radio Society, 17500 Cherry Drive,
Eden Prairie, MN 55346; or, via Internet (to NLRS@Hamlink.mn.org). Entries
may be on disk in standard ARRL format. Send SASE for results, which will
also be distributed to VHF newsletters. Our goal is to have results out in
one month.
