DXCC rules section I, # 10: "All contacts must be made by the same 
station licensee. However, contacts may have been made under different 
call signs in the same country if the licensee for all was the same. That 
is, you may simultaneously feed one DXCC from several call signs held, as 
long as the provisions of Rule 9 are met."

So it is not illegal to use someone else's station to work a country as 
long as you have his permission to use your own call AND YOU ARE THE 
OPERATOR!

Many CONTESTS have in the rules that the operators in a multi-op contest 
do not work stations under their own callsigns, once they have operated 
under the multi-op callsign.

Beyond that, your practices are left to your own ethics.  I myself never 
felt I'd have any pride in getting something I cheated to get.
