Without plugging my radio in or operating or any of those details I hereby
declare myself winner of the "single-operator-I-bought-everything-they-had-at-
HRO-last-weekend" category based solely on my call.

Thought that the starting time was 12:00 local, darn that daylight savings
time stuff. Alex's mom presented him with a new baseball bat around the
halfway point. Interest diminished as he imagined himself hitting the
game winning home-run in his little league opener that afternoon. All in
all
a good time was had by all. Alex is wondering when the next one will be?
I nominate N6TR and N6VI as tied for most fun contact.

Speaking of surprises, I received my award certificate for the 1993 CQ
WW DX Contest -- today. I used to get excited waiting for results to be
published in the magazines and getting the certificate (or plaque) but
fortunately we get the results from the contest reflector almost
immediately. -- Thanks, Trey your doin' good!
Possibly QST/CQ could publish the results on the WEB in a much more
timely fashion. They could have as many pages and photographs as anyone
could want and no one could complain about the printing costs. Corrections
could be made as they are found (immediately). The final printed copy could
still be placed in QST in a slightly more abreviated form with virtually no
errors. I think the ARRL already has a home page.
