No, the delay doesn't occur w/the SB card and Voice Blaster software.
However, you must be careful how you record your messages.
Get youself a shareware .VOC file editor, such as BLASTER MASTER (for DOS)
or GoldenWave (for Windows). Then you can lop off any header or tail
delays. Note that the VB works with .VOC files. If you create a .WAV
file simply export it to .VOC format and rename the file as a .VBx
file that VB recognizes. There is a myriad of things that can be done
with an editor, like compressing the sound with software, hi/lo pass
filtering, echo generation, recording with a higer sampling rate,
etc, etc. You can usually find these tools on 'oak.oakland.edu'
and transfer them via anonymous 'ftp'. 73 & CU on the bands... de K2WK
