I've been hearing some good comments on the Radio Shack DSP-40.
Wonder if anyone on the reflector has tried it and what did you
think of it??? I took a look at it in the store and could not
tell if it removes carriers in both the noise or ssb
mode? Also the CW filter supported down to 300 HZ? The price
seemed pretty fair. (PS. Does it work with the low audio output
from a FT-1000 phone jack??)

I got a sample of an intersting product in the mail today.
Ken Wells, V73C manufactures custom key overlays for several software
programs. The overlay samples I received were for K1EA's CT program.
These aren't the ordinary keyboard template that fits around the keys,
or a strip listing the commands. Instead, these are actually little
stickers that you stick right to the top of the key. Nothing to fall
off, get misplaced or in the way.
The text on the stickers is color coded - black for normal key, red
for control key, green for shift key and blue for ALT key, just like
the control, shift and ALT keys on your keyboard. Since they stick on
top of the keys, it doesn't matter if your function keys are on the
left or on the top. There are stickers for the 10 function keys plus
some of the keypad keys (ENTER, +, etc.) and ESC.

Regarding Will's (AA4NC) BC problem, I relate
my only experience with such.
A physician operating near a BC Tx was hearing
the local DJ in his ultrasonic diagnostic gear.
A simple cookbook elliptical filter ( 3 poles)
with the notch (A very high attenuation point
below the cutoff, and a feature of such filters)
placed on the frequency of the offending station
and installed in the RX line cured this problem.
It was cheap, quick and very effective.
