Played for a couple of hours. Here is something to think about: is the
"splatter level" worse in a low power contest because more people push their
exciters harder than if they were running an amplifier? It seemed like there
was a LOT of garbage on the bands yesterday. For me it is "CW 1, SSB 0".
Thanks to all for the QSOs, both in CW and SSB.

Spent the whole contest operating with cough drops stuck
in my cheek. The voice barely made it through the end.
This contest makes a strong case for using the 100W power level for
ALL domestic contests. 40 & 80 are not the B class alligator swamp
that they are during sweepstakes, sure is nice to be heard on those
bands.
Is it me, or is 10 dead for all here in the heartland? Heard
VE4GV trying to get something going.
Never heard NE, ID, MT, HI, AK, NV. Tnx to those who got
on for the rare states of WY, VT, UT and SD. To all others,
TNX for the Q's and the 10 hours of sheer fun.
