I believe that the first contest ever held was the ARRL DX test of 1929. It ran for the month (:-o) of February. The first SS was held in 1932 and ran for two weeks. I think the multiplier system was used in both contests, although I'm not sure. Also not sure about bands/scores or first phone contest. Ward |
