[Amps] Henry 8k, How they holding up?

I'm curious about how the Henry 8k amps that are out there. Are they holding
up. I am concerned about the contacts on the solenoid type switches as they
were a problem early on. Can you get them? Also the servo stuff and variable
inductor. For me, it's a lot of money and I wonder if it would require a
