Use the PACKET connector and operate AFSK in PACKET mode - note PACKET
is LSB in the FT-1000D and FT-1000MP so modes like JT9/65, MFSK#, etc.
are not supported (PSK31 works in either USB or LSB).
Alternatively, one could make a custom cable to get receive audio from
AF Out, apply PTT to the PTT RCA jack and apply transmit audio to the
PATCH IN jack. With Patch In one would still need to unplug the mic
when operating in digital.

Is there a way to connect the Signalink to the 1000D but not use the front
panel mic. connector? Don't want to have to swap between Mic. & Signalink
cable?
