Thanks Mike, I was aware of the 1 and 3 keys being held down since I have
two other 990's in the shack. I guess I should clarify the reason for the
question. It is a possible purchase of an extra radio (in this case a 990).
It is all packaged up for shipping and the individual does not want to
unpack it. This is the reason I was just wondering about the rom id in
relation to the serial number because if I cannot find out any other way,
and the seller is unwilling to unpack it to verify it, I am going to back
out of the possible sale.
