Hi John,
I suggest you try one or another of the following pieces of software...
http://www.va3cr.net/software/Material/CAT-1000.zip
This programme will actually test and find your FT1kmp rig...
http://www.va3cr.net/software/Material/Test4MP.EXE
You should be up and running after using one of these pieces of software.
Once you have it working under this controlled situation, then you can look
at some of the other pieces of software.
Regards,
Dean - 8P6SH

Subject: [Yaesu] CAT System on Mark V
Last week I asked for & received some help on getting
the CAT system up and running on my
1000mp Mark V.
But I am sorry to say that nothing has worked. I am
using a serial cable not a null modem. I have set the
com port both in the computer & software to
4800,8,n,2. I used a DB9 (female to female) & (Female
to male) with a gender changer.
I have tried several pieces of software Writelog,
Dx4win, Cat 1000 & Ham Radio Deluxe.
The only other hint I have in the past with a FT-920
keyed the CW through a Rig Blaster Pro. Using the PTT
through the Com port.
When I turn the RIG Blaster power on the Mark V PTT
is keyed. now the CW key line is not connected so
something has to be getting through on the com port.
But why doesn't the CAT system work.
ANYBODY HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS THOUGHTS RECOMENDATIONS
BEFORE THIS GETS SHIPPED TO YAESU!
Thanks guys for the help...
