A friend of mine is wanting to adjust the low end of the power output range below 4 watts so he can drive a transverter(probably around 1 watt output). I don't have the FT-840(my Yaesus are older). I was wondering if anyone has done this.I have heard that the FT-847's will go down to 1 or 2 watts out, but wonder if the FT-840 can be adjusyed that low.
