I've read a lot about the fan noise but this must be a problem that is in
some radios and not others. My Ft-1000D cycles on and off and I barley
notice the fan's noise. I don't know if this is one of those things where a
certain noise will annoy one person and not another, but I must say that I
am very pleased with my radio and would never consider getting rid of a
great radio because of a fan noise. I would do as others are doing and that
is to seek a solution.

I'm sure that someone would find fault with the FT-dx9000D as well and
others would say that it is a great rig, but for my money I will stay with
what I have!
