[Yaesu] ft-1000D output power

Hi all...it seems that the output power on my 1000D is not constant...it will 
peak at a high value and then will settle in ...but each time I key or un key 
then it will change again...I tried driving the amp with one of my other rigs 
and no problem...any help in this area??
