The FT-1000D uses a keying loop just like the Ten-Tec rigs. Not at
home, now, so can't give you the particulars, but there is a key out
and a key in line on one of the DIN connectors on the back -- the DIN
connector that has a short between two terminals. Break this out and
put them through the Ten-Tec key-in/key-out RCA connectors on the back.
Works like a champ - smooth. It makes sure the amp is keyed before RF
input to the amp. If you want further details, email direct and I'll
give you the pin-outs. When this is done, the amp is ALWAYS left in
the QSK mode, yet PTT and VOX work normally (by virtue of the 1000D.
