Hi Robert.

I set the NR level to acheive the best balance between noise reduction
and signal clarity.  I don't find it to be usable much beyond the 10
O'clock position.  Right now it's set at 9 O'clock so you might find
another setting to work better for you.

As for the DVR, I've never used it and I'd have to refer the manual to
use it myself.  I do recall that it lacks the ability to record
received audio so it's primarily for recording a CQ.
