FYI - I don't have experience with a DX doubler. I use a Griffin iMic connected to a Mac USB port. I completely eliminated hum by using mini telephone modem 600-600 ohm transformers for DC isolation in both of the stereo audio out lines and the Mic input line to an FT1000D.
