Subject: | [Yaesu] FT726R VOX CW keying |

I recently acquired an FT726R and note that CW is keyed by VOX via the key line. Since I am using a sequencer and mast-mounted preamp, this is not acceptable. Luckily the preamp was out of line when I hit the key the first time. Is there a way to defeat this VOX that I have missed in the manual? If not, I plan an external relay to keep the keying line open until the keying signal comes from the sequencer, but I'd prefer not to add another relay, box, connectors, etc. to this rat's nest. Any input appreciated. 73, Mark K4SO |
