Yes, beware of Yaesu - some radios are DTE, some DCE & you will often find the serial connector to be of the wrong sex - let's just say that Yaesu uses D*E. ;^) Sorry to hear the 990 doesn't use a normal line driver - I've seen them do some strange things. As the driver is merely a transistor, it'll be hard for that to muck it up. One last suggestion - may have been done already - do a complete reset of the rig. GL! 73, VR2BrettGraham |
