Hi Riki,
I have a FT-1000MP and my knob was loose and then it
started to creep. This was about a month ago. I took
it apart and found that the plastic piece had somehow=20
gotten outside of the spring. I shoved the platic piece
back on the shaft and put the spring back on it, and
it has been working good ever since. Saved me from
having to send it back to the factory. So, I say that
your suggestion is right on the money. I wish I had seen
it earlier, when I was having the problem. hi hi
