The whips supplied with the hamsticks I've bought have been generally too long. I remember having to trim a couple inches off the 10m to find the sweet spot. It tunes up better then 1.2 from 28300 to 28550 or so. I made a dipole out of two 40m Hamsticks and IIRC trimmed nearly 4" off each of the whips to get them to tune to the novice subband. Be careful though of you will have to buy more whips :- -KF6IIU |
