My cooling fan rumbles quite a bit as it is shutting off and winding =
down. I wonder if this is a common problem, a sign of worn bearings, or =
how much longer I can expect the fan motor to last?

Does anyone that has ever replaced a fan motor have any tips or =
suggestions to make this as simple a job as possible? I have looked =
into the rig and it appears that many boards and units have to be =
removed just to access the fan and blower mechanism. Is this something =
that a true 'amateur' can handle, or is it worthy of a trained =
technician?

Thanks for any help or suggestions from other FT1000 owners.

By the way, I still love my rig! and don't plan on trading it in for =
anything else.
