Chances are it's the first coil to ground in the bandpass filter...if it's
the bandpass filter. Does sensitivity come back at the next range higher?
I dont remember if the older 1000 (vs MP) has input LP/HP filtering at
all, but the same coil tends to go bad in those as well.
I never had a problem with my D, but I've replaced several of these little
coils in my MP's. I've not had any fail since I put RX limiters on them.
I've never had any problems other than those first coils to ground in the
filter sections.

Subject: [Yaesu] FT1000D gone deaf
Hi all
I recently discovered my FT1000D has gone low gain above 12Mhz - by
around 12dBs or so. Probably the results of being a mult rig during a
recent contest ! It is fine (by comparing with another FT1K) up to that
frequency. Presumably a component in the bandpass switching has gone -
any ideas which may be the culprit ?
