Hello,

I just purchased an FT-847 along with the MD-100 desk microphone. I tried to
access a local repeater with some control codes via the front panel and just
discovered that I need to purchase another microphone for DTMF access. I
read through the manual and it only talks about the MH-36 and DTMF
operation. Is there any way to generate DTMF tones without that microphone?
I noticed numbers on the front panel however I didn't notice any A, B, C or
D keys. I really like the desk microphone and would hate to remove the desk
microphone to use DTMF. If so, what a serious mistake on Yaesu's part to do
this. Any ideas from other FT-847 owners would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

73, de Ken, N2SMT
