Hello to the group,
Last week I purchased two new Yaesu FT-10 handi-talkies, and the Windows
programming software to go with them. To say the least I have been very
disappointed with the results. One of the radios will upload "create a
template" about once out of 5 or 6 tries. The other radio may have
succeeded once in the 75 times I have tried it. I consistently get a "timed
out error" on the computer display and an "err 01" on the radio's display.
Am I missing something here ? Is this a common problem ? Has anyone else
used this software with this model radio and had similar results ? It seems
that it would be a really slick feature to use the computer to modify the
frequency list instead of poking it all in via the tiny key board, but if
the communications between the radio and the computer is that undependable
it isn't hardly worth the trouble.
So, anyone had better luck ? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I might
be over looking here before I go to the aggravation of calling and talking
to Yaesu's technical service ?
Thanks for any comments.
