Posted to TEN-TEC in error. Sorry. I have TEN TEC gear (Closet Kilowatt) in
the home station and was reading the mail.

I finally decided to get back on the air after being off for two years. I
still have lots of gear but no antennas so mobiling made more sense. Plus I
just got a new car (my xyl says I ruined it with the antenna. She said that
I was the only one she knew who would put a large black antenna on a new M-B
CLK320)

Anyway, the rig installed nicely and I was able to hide all the wires from
the cockpit to the trunk. In just two days, I answered every CQ from
DX'ers and got 55 to 59 reports. BTW, both VHF and UHF FM work well with
the HF antenna, but I have to remember to retract it. It's a pain so I'll
be adding another "ugly but smaller" Dual Band antenna to the other side of
the trunk lip.

PS I got the rig at HRO but Texas Towers has much better pricing,
