Hi All,

I always hate to complain about any service department but this is too much.
On 2/18 I shipped the RF board from my FT-990 to Yaesu for some mods (which
they would do for free) and a S-Meter problem.  The tech I originally spoke
to was very friendly and also stated that if the updates didnt fix the
problem, send the whole radio and they would take care of it.  It was
deliverd to them on 2/25 according to UPS, on 3/4 I recieved a card that
said 5 weeks turnaround.  Well its now 4/13 and the havent even assigned it
to a tech yet, the young lady I spoke to said 2 more weeks and the
turnaround time is now 6-8 weeks on HF equipment.  Add another week for
shipping and I'll be lucky to see the thing by May.

I really hate to complain since they are doing it for free, but 6 weeks
already and two more on top of that is a bit much.  Its a shame because the
last time I used them I had a great experience...
