I have just bought a used FT-3000M and
am planning on using it about twice a year
when I go camping with some buddies.
Upon reading the manual I couldn't help
noticing that it does all kinds of things that
might be cool if I understood them.
I am particularly interested in knowing if I can
access regular phone service while mobile,
and any tricks for improving range and reception.
The vehicle is a pathfinder, the antenna is an SBB5
Comet. The FT-3000M has been "opened" so that
it functions on more frequencies than when it was
stock, which I suppose is a good thing...
