[Yaesu] FT-102 sell buy 706MarkII??

I have a Yaesu FT-102 and a FC-102 tuner, I'd say the FT-102 with manual is a
9 or better condition and the same for the FC-102 tuner. I am "THINKING" of
selling these items for maybe around $800.00 for both, "will not seperate",and
buying the Icom 706MarkII rig, I see the current price is about $1,000.
Why?--Smaller size is the main reason, current technology is another. By ANY
chance have any of you used both of these rigs??--Pro's,
Con's of both rigs??--Should I just keep the FT-102??----------Thanks for any
