In the Kenwood ts-120/130 this is caused by the RF board mounting screws
being loose. Try tightening the PC board mounting screws.

The PA tube control grid bias on the FT-101Ex ought to be at least -100
volts when on receive. Screen voltage not above 250 volts positive.
Plate current should be zero and there should be no plate color.

A loose coax connecter, either the coax end or the chassis end can also
cause PA sections to oscillate.
