[Yaesu] FT-1000MP "CAT" Seems Dead

I have replaced my contesting computer with a new one after a recent
lighting strike.

My FT-1000MP appears to have survived the strike with the exception of one
thing-- the "CAT" system computer control doesn't work.

None of my programs CT, NA, etc. will "talk" to the radio.

Any ideas on how to repair the radio, or is it off to the factory?
