Hi all !
No idea if this topic has been discussed before as this is a new group
to me - but I haven't spotted a better place to ask !
I have had an FT1000 (NOT the MP!) for around a year . It's not a new
one - infact it's around 7years old. It gets used on CW for contesting a
fair bit. I used to have a TS930s but decided to get something a little
more up to date.
OK .. the question - the CW sidetone out of the FT1000 leaves a LITTLE
to be desired (IMO) - several '1000's that I have listened to have a
very slightly "ploppy" sound, mine included.
Has anyone "tweaked" things to improve it ??
OK, I can live (just) with the fixed preset frequencies (the 930 was
variable) but the note is NOT as "clean" or "T9X" as the 930 sidetone.
I have't seen any mods for this - maybe I am too critical??
Any comments please ?... yeah, yeah ...why did I get rid of the 930 !!
